What happens when a small object becomes enormous, or a large object is reduced to something tiny? In this playful drawing session, we’ll explore how changing the scale of what we draw can completely alter the way we see and interpret it. Using a still life as our starting point, we’ll experiment with drawing objects much larger or smaller than they actually are.
We’ll look at artists who explore scale and consider how changing the size of an image can affect composition, observation and meaning. The workshop is open to all ability levels and will include a series of exercises designed to encourage experimentation rather than perfection. Materials and equipment are provided.
