Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all workshop bookings, studio memberships, purchases, and services provided by Dorset Printmakers (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking a workshop, purchasing a membership, or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Workshop Bookings

1.1 Booking and Payment

  • All workshops must be booked and paid for in advance through our website.

  • Payments are processed securely via Stripe through our Squarespace website.

  • A booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully received.

1.2 Age Requirements

  • Some workshops may be suitable for under‑18s.

  • Anyone under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian.

  • We reserve the right to request proof of age where necessary.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

2.1 Customer Cancellations

  • You may cancel your workshop booking up to 7 days before the workshop date for a full refund.

  • Cancellations must be made by emailing us at dorsetprintmakers@gmail.co.uk.

2.2 Late Cancellations (within 7 days of the workshop)

  • If you wish to cancel less than 7 days before the workshop, you will not be eligible for a refund.

  • However, you may request a credit note to use towards a future workshop.

  • Credit notes must be requested by email and will be issued at our discretion.

2.3 Non‑attendance

  • If you do not attend a workshop without notifying us, no refund or credit note will be issued.

2.4 Workshop Cancellations by Us

  • In the unlikely event that we need to cancel or reschedule a workshop, you will be offered:

    • a full refund, or

    • a transfer to another workshop date.

  • We are not responsible for any additional costs incurred (e.g., travel or accommodation).

3. Studio Memberships

3.1 Eligibility

  • Membership is available to experienced printmakers who can work independently and safely in the studio.

3.2 Payment

  • Membership fees must be paid in advance according to the membership plan selected.

3.3 Cancellation

  • Memberships may be cancelled at any time by emailing us.

  • No refunds are issued for unused membership periods.

3.4 Studio Access

  • Members must follow all studio rules, health and safety guidance, and access procedures.

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership if these rules are not followed.

4. Commissions and Editioning Services

4.1 Quotes and Payment

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days.

  • A deposit may be required before work begins.

  • Final payment is due upon completion.

4.2 Copyright

  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, copyright in commissioned artwork remains with the artist.

5. Health and Safety

  • All workshop participants and members must follow our health and safety instructions.

  • We reserve the right to remove anyone who behaves in a way that risks the safety of themselves, others or the studio.

6. Liability

  • We are not liable for personal belongings brought into the studio.

  • We are not responsible for any injury or damage caused by failure to follow safety instructions.

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.

7. Personal Data

  • We collect and process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Notice.

  • By booking or purchasing from us, you agree to this processing.

8. Changes to These Terms

  • We may update these Terms from time to time.

  • The version in force at the time of your booking or purchase will apply.
