This three-hour workshop is a friendly introduction to lino cutting, designed to give you the confidence and basic skills to begin your lino printing journey. You’ll learn how to transfer a simple design onto lino, use cutting tools safely and effectively, and explore how the marks you carve translate into a printed image.
Each participant will receive an A6 lino block to carve and print during the session, using our Albion press. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment with the process and take your finished prints home with you. The workshop is open to all ability levels, including complete beginners. All basic materials, equipment and facilities are included, with additional lino, papers and specialist materials available to purchase during the session.
