This introductory bookbinding workshop explores how books can become a way of collecting and arranging ideas, images and memories. We’ll begin by looking at how different pieces of paper can be brought together to create a narrative, experimenting with arrangement, sequence and composition.
You’ll then use found, recycled and scrap papers to create your own soft-back book, discovering how simple bookbinding techniques can transform loose pieces of paper into something with structure and purpose. This workshop is open to all ability levels and is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some bookmaking experience. All materials and equipment are included.
