Discover the fundamentals of drypoint etching in this three-hour introductory workshop. Working with perspex as your printing plate, you’ll learn how to draw and scratch into the surface to create lines and textures, before inking and printing your plate to see how your marks translate into an image.
Each participant will receive an A6 perspex sheet to work on and will print their plate during the session using our new Gunning etching press. The workshop is open to all ability levels, whether you are completely new to etching or already have some experience. All basic materials, equipment and facilities are included, with additional perspex, papers and specialist materials available to purchase during the session.
